The object of this insurance is the liability of a cargo hauler, based on the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (8.33 S.D.R.s per kilogram).
The insurance is in force between the time when the hauler takes over the goods and the time of delivery. It covers the following risks:
- complete or partial disappearance of the goods;
- loss of, or damage to, the goods;
- a delay in delivery.
Costs of examination of the circumstances of a loss, legal protection and costs of decreasing claims of haulers are also covered.
