Half a century in European market
With a history of more than 50 years in Finland, we are experts in the special conditions that meet the needs of companies, private persons and authorities trading, travelling and dealing with Russia, the Nordic countries and the EU. IngoNord is a Finnish company, with specialist back up as an independent member of the multinational Ingosstrakh insurance group.

Here are some important milestones in our development:
1952 General Representative Office of Ingosstrakh opens in Finland, with the operations limited to insurance of Soviet property in Finland. The security deposit is 10,000 FIN, with the present value of 1 million FIM.
1955 The scope of Ingosstrakh's operations expands and the company begins insuring the property of other socialist states as well as goods in transit.
1962 The operations become more extensive, reflecting the growth trend in Russian-Finnish trade. Between 1960-1980, Ingosstrakh insures a number of major construction projects such as the Svetogorsk paper-and-pulp plant, Kostomuksha mining plant, and various ships (cruise ships, science-and-research vessels, ice-breakers) built in Finnish shipyards.
1990 Ingosstrakh becomes a member of the Central Union of Insurance Companies of Finland.
1994 Ingosstrakh General Representative Office is renamed JS Insurance Company Ingosstrakh in Finland, with the security deposit rising to 14 million FIM.
1997-2000 Ingosstrakh reaches its present-day maturity, becoming the JS Insurance Company specialising in non-life insurance.
2001 Insurance Company IngoNord Ltd. is established. IngoNord's licence covers all types of non-life insurance.
