In accordance with the decision taken by its shareholder to discontinue business operations, IngoNord Insurance Co has ceased quoting new business and offering renewal terms to its policyholders as from 21.05.2010
The existing policyholders will not be affected by this business change and shall remain fully protected as existing policies will remain valid and fully effective until the end of their respective term. Hence, in case of any loss occured, all existing policyholders will have an opportunity to make claims in the normal way.
Motor hull insurance of IngoNord and vehicles registered in Russia
Since 18th of February 2005 IngoNord shall not issue motor hull insurance policies for vehicles registered in Russia, another words, having Russian license plates, including diplomatic plates (red) and commercial ones (yellow).
The existing motor hull insurances for vehicles with Russian plates shall be in force until expiration but they shall not be renewed.
Those who need to have a vehicle registered in Russia insured we kindly ask to contact the nearest branch of Ingosstrakh.
Since March 2005 IngoNord Insurance Company Ltd has the right to insure risks also from the new EU countries, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic, Malta, Cyprus, Slovakia and Slovenia in addition to the other 15 member countries.

International Insurance Group INGO announced
Russian insurance company Ingosstrakh, the 100% shareholder of IngoNord, announced that it signed an agreement to form International Insurance Group (IIG) INGO comprising 11 companies. The news was announced by Ingosstrakh’s General Manager Tatiana Dubrovskaya.
According to T. Dubrovskaya, the new group will include Ingosstrakh (Russia), SOVAG (Germany), IngoNord (Finland), Garant (Austria), Baltic-Garant (Lithuania), Ostra-Kiev (Ukraine), BelIngosstrakh (Belorussia), Efes (Armenia), KyrgyzInstrakh (Kyrgystan), Ingosstrakh-LMT (Russia) and Tim-Assistance. Ingosstrakh has over 50 % shareholding in all the companies participating in the Group.
The companies of the group will be coordinating their insurance and reinsurance policies in domestic and international insurance markets within the framework of the unified development strategy, upgrading the technological processes in insurance and forming unified standards for quality of the services provided. ”The joint effort of insurers in different countries will mean in practice creation of an international system of guaranties and obligations, which will improve significantly the reliability and quality of insurance services. The IIG will remain open for newcomers”, said Dubrovskaya.
Consolidated financial statements starting from 2004
Starting from 2004 IIG INGO will present a consolidated financial statement of all the participating companies prepared in accordance with international standards of financial reporting, said General Manager of Ingosstrakh T.Dubrovskaya. All companies participating in IIG INGO will prepare financial statements both in accordance with domestic and international standards of financial reporting. This is necessary for assuring the integrity of the group as well as for consolidating the group’s assets, explained Dubrovskaya.

The reinsurance for aircraft risks is provided by Russia’s largest insurance company Ingosstrakh.

AN OBLIGATORY INSURANCE OF MOTOR VEHICLE THIRD PARTY LIABILITY (The Russian Federation Government Act No.264/2003-05-07)
Insurance of Third Party Liability will become obligatory in Russia from 2003-07-01. The limit of liability in obligatory insurance will remain very low, 400.000,- RUB (approx. 11.000,- €). IngoNord’s Third Party Liability insurance is offered as an optional additional insurance. We shall inform you about insurance premiums and other details as soon as further information is available.
